So Leakycon, eh?
Let me tell you the story of how i died.
it started approximately January 2011.
Starship tickets had just gone on sale and i really wanted to see it because i was in my die-hard star kid phase. normal. she refused to buy them on the basis that it was an original play and she didn’t want to spend a bunch of money on something she wasn’t sure i’d like. plus it was during the school year. though i was upset, i got over it and didn’t go to starship. but she promised that i would be allowed to go see AVPSY if they ever did it.
fast forward to april 2012. Leakycon tickets go on sale. i really want to go because chicago is only a 7hr drive from home. better than say, florida. mom just point blank refuses. so i pointedly have the leaky con update emails sent to her. she still says no. i’m even more upset than about the starship thing because this is LEAKYCON. but i get over it.
and then today. it is announced that AVPSY will be shown/released/something at Leakycon. i hope mom feels the guilt i’m telepathically bombarding her with.
hopefully it isn’t the real release so i can still go to it.
We can make a puppet show.
We can make a musical.
We can make a second musical.
We can cross two Harry Potter related things and make it hysterical.
We can take a famous line from the movie and change it.
We can take pictures from the movie and make it look like a picture from another movie.
We can take things way too literally.
We can take quote from a movie and prove it wrong.
We can take a whole movie quote and make it about Harry Potter.
We can take a commercial and make it about Harry Potter.
We can take a TV show and make it about Harry Potter.
We can take Disney and make it about Harry Potter.
We will forever take anything else that the actors are in and turn it into something Harry Potter.
We can make fun of something til there’s no tomorrow and still love everything about it.
We can turn Harry Potter into a religion.
We can turn mock the Dark Lord by making him sing pop songs.
Harry Potter will live on forever. The fandom will live on forever. Potterheads for life.
